Maasboulevard

Maasboulevard

Labyrinthine streets, the ceilings are low
But despite the clutter, nothing is happening
It's busy, but it's not

Across Havendijk, the town unties it's shoes
Even less is happening here
Yet, there is space

The shore is a border
Massive towers remind me
Stop here or you'll drown
It's the end of the road, but it's not

I can see across the water
Cranes and containers and ships
And those towers, are they really guardians?
Or are they ships as well, waiting to launch
